Ember is a one-year-old female Eclectus parrot with stunning colors and a playful personality. Hand raised by Lachlan, she’s grown up curious, social, and full of energy. Now part of Matt’s team, Ember loves interacting with people, exploring her surroundings, and showing off her charming personality—bringing joy and feathered fun to everyone she meets.

Eclectus parrots are known for their vibrant colours, striking sexual dimorphism, and friendly, social personalities. Males are bright green while females are rich red and purple, making them instantly recognizable. There are several subtypes of eclectus parrots, including Solomon Island, Moluccan, and Sumba, each with slightly different size, coloration, and personality traits, making them a fascinating and diverse species for bird enthusiasts

Eclectus parrots have a unique digestive system that thrives on a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables. They particularly enjoy pawpaw, mango, berries, leafy greens, and carrots, which help keep their vibrant feathers healthy and their energy levels high. Unlike many other parrots, eclectus birds need limited seeds and pellets, as too many can lead to health issues. Providing a varied, nutrient-rich diet is key to keeping these intelligent, colourful birds happy and thriving.
