Continuum Reef Micro fuel 250ml

Reef Micro.Fuel is gentle on the system, it provides an alcohol free, non-flammable and sugar free rich carbon source for accelerated growth of bacterioplankton for food sources for corals and other invertebrates as well as for the crucial functions of nitrification, denitrification, nutrient assimilation and remineralization. Proper use of Reef Micro.Fuel will result in reduction of nitrates and phosphates to very low levels providing for a cleaner and more beautiful aquarium.

Use in aquarium keeping:

Reef Micro.Fuel works well, as a growth accelerator, for natural bacteria in the marine aquarium by stimulating reproduction, and particularly well with microbial cultures such as BacterGen.M or BacterGen.MD. It can be used in place of alcohol or other food sources in denitrators, as well. Continuum recommends that you consider using BacterGen.M regularly, along with the Reef Micro.Fuel to replenish and accelerate the growth and maintenance of both aerobic and anaerobic bacterial populations in your aquarium. This will reduce the levels of toxic ammonia, and nitrites, as well as phosphates and organic pollutants. BacterGen.MD is designed to be used primarily to establish and accelerate anaerobic bacterial populations in denitrators and live rock, helping to keep nitrates in check.

Directions:

Shake well prior to use. Always use this product with a well-functioning protein skimmer (which can be turned off, if desired, upon initial addition, but should be re-started within a few hours of addition). Monitor phosphate and nitrate test readings during use. Add the following dosages depending on type of system:

Normal Systems: Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 50 US-gallons (200 L) of marine aquarium water daily. When phosphate and nitrate test readings are basically immeasurable, lower dosage by 50%, and adjust up or down as needed to maintain proper levels.

Low Nutrient Systems: Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 100 US-gallons (200 L) of marine aquarium water daily. Measure phosphate and nitrate levels and lower addition amounts until levels begin to rise. Adjust up or down as needed to maintain proper levels.
