Birds have behavioural and/or nutritional needs for ingestion of soluble grit. Specially ground for all cage and aviary birds, HARI Oyster Shells soluble grit is readily digested by acids in the proventriculus and will not cause crop impaction, Calcium deficiency can be a problem for companion birds and so it’s important to feed calcium-rich foods and supplements. Soluble oyster shells provide a natural source of calcium which is required by all caged birds year-round and is essential when breeding for stronger bone and egg shell formation.
